TaiwanCelts G.A.A. the Home of Gaelic Sports in TaiwanThe Taiwan Celts is a Gaelic Sports Club founded back in 1995 by a number of Irish immigrants living on the beautiful Island of Isla Formosa, a.k.a. Taiwan. Since those early days, the Club membership has expanded to include members from many other countries and every continent in the world, and all with varying levels of skills and experience. We have players from Ireland, England, Scotland, Taiwan, U.S., Australia, Canada, South Africa, Sweden, France, Japan, everyone is welcome! Our Mens and Ladies teams regularly get together to train and partricipate in friendly and competitive tournaments throughout Asia, all in preparation for the main even of the Year... the Asian Gaelic Games which hosts Gaelic Football and Hurling teams from all over Asia for one of the best weekends of sports and fun you're likely to find anywhere. Besides the sports of Gaelic Football and Hurling, the Taiwan Celt has close relationships with many other sports clubs in Taiwan playing soccer, Rugby, ladies touch rugby, etc. And we regularly play compromised rules games with these other clubs. If you're new to Gaelic Sports we have regular training sessions where our trainers will introduce the skills and rules of the game. Training session typically run from February through until October each year.
A Social Club Disguised as a Sports Club!After all the training, games and tournaments, the Taiwan Celts is also a socal club at heart and there are plenty of activities and events throughout the year to keep our members fully occupied and entertainined, such as day trips to the beaches and waterparks during summer, whitewater rafting, surfing, mountain biking, paint-balling not to mention our Legendary Celt's Fund Raising Events: St Patricks Day Irish Dancing Compeition, Celts Hot Dog Eating Championship, Pub Olympics, Taiwan Celts Limbo Challenge, and plently more... Whatever your level of skills or previous experience, the TaiwanCelts club is always welcoming new members into our Mens and Ladies teams, so whether you're new to Gaelic Sports or new to Taiwan, the Taiwan Celts would like to hear from you.
